Trainer in Single Player Games.
Hi, I was wondering if using a trainer for completely singleplayer games is ban worthy? For a game called ''Kingdom: New Lands'' please note I have not downloaded a trainer yet, checking if it's VAC or Community Ban worthy. It doesn't give you achievements or anything to do with steam.

If you are not connecting to VAC secured servers in VAC secured games, how do you imagine you will get a ban?

At least OP is asking BEFOREHAND. That's a step up from some others.

I am not arguing that. But people think VAC is magic and that VAC means the same as "ban".

Being afraid of a ban means they don't try anything funny. Otherwise the hand of god will strike them down.

Corrected it :)

To OP, you wont get a VAC ban in non VAC secured games. But that does not exclude possible game bans, perhaps better to ask in the specific games discussion forum.

A game ban is technically possible, see my post above, its better to ask in the specific game forum to be sure.

No one here can simply tell you that any third-party cheat you download and use will be completely safe for your computer and not cause a ban in another game. You run a risk when downloading anything off the internet that may contain malicious code. It's also possible that due to the way a certain cheat interacts with a game(s) although unlikely it is possible that it could potentially trigger a ban in a VAC secured game.

So there is no way that anyone here can just tell you it's okay to use absolutely any cheat on the internet. That said, typically using a cheat for a single-player game will not cause a VAC ban.

VAC is triggered when it detects a known cheat signature in a VAC secured game, detects modifications to VAC secured files or identifies an attempt to alter the game memory of a VAC secured game, aka "cvars."

You can download Cheat Engine. Simply downloading it won't get you VAC banned. You can install Cheat Engine. You won't get a VAC ban for that. You can even run Cheat Engine and have it running a trainer for a non-VAC game while you're playing a VAC secured game and you won't get a VAC ban. That said, it's generally not recommended to run ANY cheats while playing a VAC secured game. You can't get flagged for a VAC ban from a game you're not playing.
