Can you get VAC banned for installing an hour booster program?

I want to install an hour booster program, but I want to know if it is okay with steam rules. So, does anyone know if you can get banned for having an hour booster program installed?

I would say if it does something that isn't supposed to happen you should stay away.

Exactly. Why not just leave your PC on day and night? It won't kill it. Why even boost your hours? Does it really impress people?

start game, ALT TAB out of game and do something else. You dont have to play, just have the game running (Start Screen is all you need).

What your asking to do might risk the account being Locked or Terminated. VAC only bans for having 3rd party programs that alter VAC secured games. And not all games with cards use vac.

and idling program will not get you vac banned, i use one and it doesnt interfere with files

You will not get VAC banned for using an idling program. Ask anyone who owns hundreds of games and they'll tell you they use these programs without any problems.

By the way, ASF is better than Idle Master ;)

If one has hundreds of games, why should one care about cards which cost some cents?
If you want the cards, buy them, if you want the games play them.
Having hundreds of games and using a "Idle Master" seems crazy to me.

not every game has vac enabled + going to vac secure server only make ur account ban so dont worry

If you don't enter a game, you're fine. Since idling only involves the title screen, you will not get banned.

If you care about achievement percentage (most people don't, but a few do), it will go significantly down, though.
