VAC ban? Pff.. Just a word.

Prime account players have VAC immune or what? Most of cheaters are donors or primes. Also, it's look like Valve is selling cheats, because ppl, who use no-legit cheats usually get VAC ban after 3-5 mins in game, but there are some ppl, who can use everything without any risk.

Also, there is a site where u can buy "Cheat-subscribe". 30$ month and u can use everything u want.

Your VAC ban system looking for "known" cheats on PC. So there is the question.. Why just don't make new system that blocking everything on ur PC while u playing match? Or you don't have time for make a better Anti-Cheat system, because your are so busy. Gloves, Graffity. Hmm. It's so usable. It's better than "destroy" all cheats in game.

Your VAC system blocking TeamSpeak.. But no cheaters. You just wanna make more cash.

Why you don't want to make game without any cheats? Why you can't make a new Anti-Cheat system? It will give u more money than cheaters, because people don't wanna play game, where you "must pay for live".

That's probably because they're using public cheats which are easy to detect.

You could then sell it to valve and make a fortune.

Yes, the ban system isn't perfect. But this isn't a simple piece of software. And the people developing the cheats are very good at what they do.

just out of curiosity how much experience do you have with software engineering or any relivent experience with identifiying a the scope of something?

Because for 1 person it's will take years.. Valve is big company, they must have a special department that working on this problem, but still no results. So there are 2 explanation:
1. People who work in this department don't exert full efforts to make good Anti-cheat system.
2. Valve needs more qualified people.

Yes, there is a team working on VAC but you have to try and understand they're fighting an uphill battle.
Its a lot easier to create cheats than it is to detect cheats.
A lot easier.

I'm not saying VAC doesn't need work, just that you have to try and understand why it is how it is.

Not better, they have an easier job.

The developers of an anti cheat need to try and block as much as they can whereas the developer of a cheat program just needs to find one hole in the system.

I don't wanna do any warm to Steam or Valve, I wanna make it better. So there isn't a reason accuse me. Also, I could buy, found.. cheats, but I don't do it, because I have honnor and never will be like these unhonorable cheaters.

You still think there are employees of steam here do you? This is a user forum, nobody who knows how exactly VAC works will ever read this.
Bans are delayed to counter cheat development. Only the use of very old and very well known cheats will resort in a nearly instant ban. The result is that nearly everybody with the intent to cheat can do that for a little while. Those games get voided once the ban kicks in.
Where do you get your information that the number of cheaters is rising?

But it still serves to a point that it will always be easier to create a cheat for a game then it will be to defend it.

You'll find it comes down to money or time at the end for the day for defending, even large business have backdoors into their systems becuase they cannot afford to fix them.
