VAC Ban for Sniper Elite 4
Hello all
I have no idea if anyone can assist with this matter but, I logged into steam this morning to see a notification stating that I have been VAC Banned on Sniper Elite 4. I have contacted steam support about this as I have stated to them that this ban couldn't be more wrongfully placed on someone. The whole idea of me buying a game that has a system like VAC is so that what has happened to me happens to those who cheat in Multi-player games, All steam games should be VAC secured in my opinion.
But to see I now have a VAC ban on my account when I have NEVER (and even those who I play with will be wondering why I have had this) cheat while in a Multiplayer game.
This stupid ban will now ruin my reputation as a fair gamer, there was no just cause for this ban and I really want to know who I need to argue with to get it lifted. This is just simply stupid.

According to the Store Page, the Game doesn't seems to use VAC so the ban is most likely from another Game.

Steam Support will likely ignore your ticket.

VAC bans are permanent, non-negotiable, and cannot be removed by Steam Support.

I can cheat all I want IF I want. The KEY is to NOT cheat while online. Which I never have done. It ruins games and sucks the fun out of them.

VAC is enabled by default on all Server and Matches so it doesn't matter if it was "online" or "offline".

But like I said, the Game doesn't seems to use VAC.

No, you can not. You accepted the Steam Subscriber Agreement which told you that you are not allowed to use cheats under any circumstances.

I think you may have tripped yourself up here. The key is NOT to cheat at all as core files are protected even if you aren't connected to an in-game server. Just by running the .exe can trigger the operation of VAC where cheats can be detected. You don't have to be playing online against people to be banned. Modding 'offline' can also trigger bans.

Modding? who said anything about modding? I don't MOD games.
I cheated while playing through a singleplayer mission - god mode. But always made sure program was not running when playing in Multiplayer.

Modding is essentially 'Cheating'. SE4 doesn't even have VAC support so you cannot be banned from that game. Even if you 'cheat' in single player portions of games; core files are still being tampered with which can result in VAC bans. VAC doesn't care if you're not cheating in the MP aspect - if you modify core files in any which way or just forbidden processes/programs; you're liable for a ban. Your admittance that you had a program to 'cheat' in SP sort of leans towards your guilt and what could have triggered the ban.

Perhaps you should disclose what game you're actually banned from also.

Okay, I understand IF it changed the core files within the game that COULD trigger a VAC ban, IF its a secured file that has been altered. Guilt? Yes, I am guilty cheating in singleplayer. But thats an argument that can go round in circles so.....

Sniper Elite 4 ONLY < This is the ONLY game I have a VAC Ban for.
This is the only game I have had a VAC ban for. Becasue I DO NOT cheat when playing multiplayer games.

Can you provide a screenshot of the text that says which games you're banned in?

Yes I can, most definitely. But need to ask, how would I do this?

You press the screenshot button on your keyboard (PrtScr) and upload it to a website such as www.imgur.com

You forgot to remove the account name, which only you and Valve are supposed to know.
