Quick question

So, I'm a guy that loves playing single player on easy for the story. I'm playing Dishonored and I keep dying on easy. If I downloaded a program called "Infinity" (giving me unlimited health and mana) to allow me to progress in the story without worrying about dying, would I get vac banned in vac secure servers because there is a cheat on my computer? I want to go through the story for Dishonored, but I don't want to risk a vac ban

Dishonored is not VAC secured according to the store page.

No, becasue this game is not VAC-secured. It's also a single player game if I recall correctly, so you don't really harm anyone.

Be aware though that cheats usually come with other malware, so I would not suggest to use them.

My friend who has no games that are vac secure, used it and has gotten no viruses. But I have many vac secure games, and I'd rather not lose access to for example, COD or CSGO. Will I get vac banned in vac secure games if I use a cheat on Dishonored?

Very unlikely. A cheat engine in one game does not issue one in another. However, make sure to properly remove the cheats again. They may not come alone..

So when I open a vac secure game, make sure that all cheats are turned off that I was using for any single player game?

Basically, yes. Unlikely that they are actually hooked into the files of a totally different game;

I want the story. Not the challenge. If the challenge is stopping me from accessing the story, then why even play the game?

As already pointed out Dishonored isn't VAC secured. Dishonored is a game that rewards stealth and strategic gameplay over run and gun.

That said, I highly doubt your "Dishonored is too hard on easy!" story when you also advertise a youtube channel where you stream gameplay in Overwatch, COD, CSGO and Titanfall and even brag about your competitive gameplay and this cheat you're asking about just happens to be a cheat that's also used in multiplayer in CSGO. Fancy that. But of course you wouldn't use it for that, right? Of course not.

Fancy that. But of course you wouldn't use it for that, right? Of course not.

Why would you assume that I want to cheat in multiplayer games? I despise that! I just want to play Dishonored for the story. Not to die at the same spot.

I fully know that if I cheat in games like CSGO, I will get vac banned. I never brag about my competitive gameplay. All I said was that that was my best game I've played and I'd like to upload it. Also, I found it on Wemod and it leant have one for csgo. If you click on it, it says that there won't be a cheat for it made by them because it is a multiplayer game.

I hate cheaters that cheat in multiplayer. I applaud those who do it in singleplayer who want to have some fun. Please don't accuse me of cheating in other games. That said, my question was answered, I was about to do it, and then I realized that I would get so much hate for my decision to have some fun in a game that is too hard for me. Isn't that what mods are for? Isn't that to change the game to make it more fun? Oh wait. According to you, it's not ok because if someone mods a singleplayer game, then they will be a complete f*cking a*ss hole and cheat in multiplayer.

I was thinking about doing that, but the point where I saved, I have extremely low health and mana. I guess if it enrages people if I cheat in a singleplayer game then I'll just restart. Again.

You have competitive highlight reels of your gameplay in CSGO on your youtube channel and you claim you can't beat Dishonored on easy, a game my kid beat on hard. I think you can understand how people might be skeptical of your claim when you're asking about cheats that could be used in other games, and yes...it can.

You also claimed you want to upload videos of yourself playing Dishonored with godhacks on...which seems strange. Who would want to watch a video of someone using godhacks in a single player game. Zero suspense, zero skill, zero challenge.

That's why it sounds iffy.

What the actual f*ck is wrong with you. First you claim I'm lying and I will cheat in multiplayer, next you say that I want to upload Dishonored videos! I never said that. Just because your kid can beat a game on hard, does not mean I can. Also, why is it wrong that I upload something that I am proud of on YouTube? I could say that you are bragging to about your kid beating Dishonored on hard. I know there are cheats for other multiplayer games, but the one I was talking about did not have cheats for them.

Stop putting words in my mouth, stop assuming my intentions, I asked a question, I got the answer, now you're just trying to make me not cheat because you fear that I will cheat in multiplayer games. I can understand that. But you need to trust me that I would never cheat in multiplayer. It's a stupid thing to do and it makes everyone's day just worse. Stop posting on this thread.
