COD Modern Warfare 2 Vac Ban but didnt hack

My friend and I were playing COD. My friend had sent me this game as a gift yesterday so we could both play together. It downloaded all night yesterday and we finally played a few matches after I downloaded it. During the 8th match or so, a hacker was using lag switch as the chat has said. So we didn't take to much notice of it since we are new. After another 2-3 rounds I had told my friend that I wanted to edit my atatchments so I left the lobby, then I tried to join back in and it said "Lost connection to Steam". My friend and I did some research on it and it said it was for people who were hacking. I didnt cheat whatsoever, I checked my status on MW2 and it said I am VAC Banned. It might have been because I was in the lobby that had a hacker. Like I said earlier I truly didn't cheat, I am very disapointed. I would please like a refund to me or my friend (Kyxlex) or please un VAC ban me,

VAC bans are permanent. Unless if it issued incorrectly

Neither a refund nor an unban is going to happen. No one could approve any of these requests here anyway. Playing with a cheater won't issue a ban on your account. Considering how fast the ban was applied, very old and well known cheats must have been used.

Hello, I am the friend that he was refering that brought him the game, I know for a fact that he wasn't hacking because he and I was in the same lobby and same voice call (skype) and we didnt take any breaks, like a marothon. As soon as he finished his download, he called me up on skype and we started playing. I believe he was unfairly banned for no reason, like he said please either refund one of us or please un-vac ban my friend.

Thank you for actually reading what I posted. No one here can do anything about the ban whatsoever. All we can do is providing information which we have done.

There is by the way no way for you to tell whether your friend cheated or not, unless you are in the same room with him 24/7.

Your friend himself does not have to cheat to get his account banned. Read the pinned thread.

Then the ban will be removed automatically in time. You wouldn't have any of these questions if you actually read the pinned thread.

Correct bans are permanent. Incorrect bans will be removed automatically. Easy.

And yes, the pinned thread states that.
