I'm still waiting for my Lumia 950 XL, however Windows 10 Mobile > Android > iOS. I'm sorry I just cannot take OSes without file managers seriously.
Well that's why we post all this... to tell then to correct that.
"Dear support team,
it has been too long since we, as Windows Phone users, are unsupported by Steam. We are currently (and endelessly) experiencing a lack of guidance and assistance in order to obtain a proper Steam App for Windows Phone. It is clear enough that iOS and Android users have a major share in the mobile market - for quite obvious reasons - but Windows Phone users are having trouble to protect their accounts, as well as to enjoy several features offered by Steam.
May I share a little bit of my own problems: I had to BORROW an iPhone from a friend in order to download the iOS Steam app, activate the Steam Guard and then wait for a couple of days for the authentication to take place and receive a message stating my account was secured. Otherwise, it would be unprotected still.
Now we have a trade hold forcing us to enable our Steam Guards on our mobiles (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8078-TPHC-6195&auth=43ec81a6c20ed06dd10fa46719820a21&l=english) and we are asking ourserlves "HOW CAN WE DO THAT?"
I am NOT buying another phone - I enjoy my Windows Phone - and I feel great shame that I had to borrow, install and ask for my friend to wait until my account was secure. It is unconfortable and really unnecessary if I already had a Steam Mobile App for my Windows Phone.
It has been too long since Steam is failing to answer us "where is the Steam Mobile App for Windows Phone?"
We cannot be ignored - not to mention punished - anymore. It is now a question of security and blocked/ delayed features we are not getting. It is HUGELY unfair.
Please, we are a community of active Steam users and we NEED your cooperation. To have our accounts secured, to have our trades free of anoyance and to live a delightful mobile experience as any other user.
Have this message into consideration and take your time to answer us properly.
Here is a long (two years long) discussion in a forum I follow: http://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/8/864970587203494985/#p31
We hope you guys understand our demand.
Respectfully,
