Play Steam Games on Mobile Devices
What I'm not trying to suggest is to port games like left 4 dead or Team Fortress on your tiny iPhone screen. It's obvious that mobile devices can not preform on that level. But I have noticed a lot of Steam games such as World of Goo, Bastion, Waking Mars, GTA Vice City, even the Walking Dead and Xcom Enemy Unknown have become available on the App Store. So I considered the possibility of having these types of Steam games also available on your mobile Steam app.
Here's how it would work. You're mobile Steam App will have a list of the games you own on your PC, Mac, or Linux computer. Games that are capable of running on mobile devices will have a small indicator just like the apple, windows, and Linux symbols, indicating if the game is compatible with your mobile device. If so, you can download the game onto the Steam mobile app and be able to play the game directly in the steam app. The game obviously will not be exactly the same with some graphical and/or gameplay changes, but like universal apps on the IOS app store, it will be changed to suit the needs of the mobile device.
If this were to happen, it would also be interesting if you could play games from the save point of your computer. Using the Steam Cloud; save points, high scores, unlockables can all be transferred onto your mobile device and vice versa. So lets say I was playing the Walking Dead on my computer but had to run off to work. I could use my mobile Steam App to play right where I had stopped while on the go.
Remeber that i'm not looking to play Half Life on my smartphone (although that would be awesome). This idea does sound like wishful thinking, but being able to play some steam games on a mobile device would really take the idea of having Steam everywhere you go to the max.

This is what ive thought for a longtime especially seeing some of the greenlit games that look more suitable for a mobile/tablet than a gaming PC

So really you want to buy a game on Steam and not only have the PC/Mac/Linux version but the Android/iOS version too?

Why would devs want to lose the mobile revenue stream?

Also, while it's possible on Android, It would essentially turn the Steam app into another app store. I'm not sure, would Apple even allow that?

I guess the idea is that most people who buy it for PC/Mac/Linux are unlikely to pay for at again on a mobile platform.

Does Steam pay 30% of game price to Google, when we buy game with Steam mobile?
This is why the steam deck was invented. To play games on the go. The mobile phones are just not there yet to play pc games on it.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
