Play Steam Games on Mobile Devices
I'm not suggesting the porting of games like Left 4 Dead or Team Fortress 2 to your phone. Mobile devices can not perform on that level. However, many Steam games such as World of Goo, Bastion, Waking Mars, GTA Vice City, even the Walking Dead and Xcom Enemy Unknown have become available on mobile app stores. So I considered the possibility of having these types of Steam games also available on your mobile Steam app.
Here's how it would work. Your mobile Steam App will have a list of the games you own on your PC, Mac, or Linux computer. Games that are capable of running on mobile devices will have a small indicator just like the apple, windows, and Linux symbols, indicating if the game is compatible with your mobile device. If so, you can download the game from the Steam mobile app and play from there. The game will not be exactly the same with some graphical and/or gameplay changes, though like universal apps on the iOS app store, it will be changed to suit the needs of the mobile device.
If this were to happen, it would also be interesting if you could play games from the save point of your computer. Using the Steam Cloud; save points, high scores, unlockables can all be transferred onto your mobile device and vice versa. So lets say I was playing the Walking Dead on my computer but had to leave town. I could use my mobile Steam App to play right where I had stopped while on the go.

Update: In light of In-Home Streaming, the ability to stream games on tablets in the vicinity (kind of like what the Nivida Shield currently does) wouldn't be too bad either. If touchscreen controls have already been created for mobile ports, they can be used for streaming as well. Games that utilize big-picture mode can use a controller connected to the tablet when streaming. Onlive has done something simular to this with Cloudlift, though that service is not limited to a certain network.
Also, I am sorry if this idea sounded naive and for any grammatical/factual errors (I wrote the original post when I was 14). I am however glad that this thread has remained active and has garnered so much support.

Games like Scribblenauts Unlimited or even Kerbal Space Program COULD work, but like you said, with major tweaks. Maybe not Scribblenauts.

I don't think tweaking individual games is the key.

Maybe some SteamOS integration. That's what, Debian Linux? Cell phones nowadays are rediculously powerful, quad core beasts... I can run Linux on a Raspberry Pi. Maybe we can get Debian running on a phone? Then it's basically a Steam Machine portable.

^ Ubuntu for Android

I don't know if you can get Steam installed on an Andoid (although maybe theoretically possible -- too extreme to ask), I think we can get Steam installed on a Linux computer. This Ubuntu for Android thing is a nice marriage between Linux and Android, I have no idea what it is though, it may be perfect and it may be missing the mark entirely. I'm just Googling as I type.

^ GestureWorks. This is such a great app to touchscreen your steam games. I wish it could be installed on a Galaxy S4 on Linux and have a nice day.

Sadly, it's only on Windows 8 devices. But it's still pretty useful.

So either we find a phone that runs Windows 8 or maybe these are the guys to ask to get a Linux version made! :)

Wait, they did?
Genius idea :D we need to tell Gabe xD
Not a bad idea. Could work out, but I don't see it happening in the near future.
