Playing steam games on Android?
Is there a way to do this? Now with the whole steam deck thing it had me thinking about some games on a phone. I have some that should run as far as the amount of power/ram needed, but the whole android OS is another issue.

Is there a way to do this, or am i cursed with only games made for android OS specifically? I checked some out and they looked pretty lame to me.

I even thought older games like Galaxia, or pacman, or that sorta stuff, Pitfall harry should easily run, but no clue if they even exist for that OS.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for some decent gaming with my steam games, or others outside of stuff like candy crush which i'm not into?

Natively? No.
You can stream them through the SteamLink app though.

It is possible, but not convenient, just buy Geforce NOW subscriptions

That is still "streaming" and not playing natively.

thanks, it seams like i can't do what i want on it. I really just wanted to use it to play some VN's, but i'm not gonna bother with streaming or any of that stuff. I more just wanted to try it just for fun to see what i could do, verse needing to game on it.

That said, If anyone knows a decent mobile game, let me know. I haven't found anything i even remotely would be interested in yet.

I found that the only genre that translates well to phones is point&click adventures because the controls are pretty much the same. Instead of pointing and clicking with a mouse you're just pointing and tapping with your finger.

Almost all other games tend to suffer from the very restrictive touchscreen input (compared to keyboard and mouse or controller). I tried to play Rome: Total War and Tropico on my phone and think the devs who did the ports did the best they could but trying to play these games with touch controls is just too infuriating. Also tried the Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II Enhanced Editions but these are games with a lot of text and rather complex interfaces with a lot of buttons and a phone display is way too small for that.

One exception is This War Of Mine, it played very well on my phone and I didn't enjoy it any less than the PC version.

I've also spent a lot of hours playing the Football Manager series on my phone, the latest one is Football Manager 2023. The mobile versions are watered down versions of their PC counterparts but still pretty good in my opinion.

No it's not.
That's not even remotely the same game. You obviously never played xcom2

You idiot, the android versions are cheap knockoffs from the original game - completely different gameplay. The only thing they share is the name.
Are you confusing the mobile only XCOM Legends with the actual ports of the two games to Android?
