Steam Mobile App Login Stuck Loading Indefinitely

When I go to my Steam app on my phone to verify trades it asks me to log in. When I input my correct information it's just stuck loading with 3 bars going up and down. I force stopped the app but nothing changes. Tried again another day it's the same thing. I have an android.

If you're using an older version of the app you have to update. They blocked old versions from logging in recently.

I guess they forgot to update the APK, because I tried updating the app on my phone by downloading and installing the APK, and I still get the same problem.

Yes this is correct. I had to reinstall to get the new version. No idea why it couldn't just update automatically. I reinstalled via the play store.
