Stay connected in background issue

Is this meant to keep me connected to the steam / friends network when the phone is asleep? If so it doesn't work right. My friend kept telling me I was signing in every 5 minutes and it was getting annoying....I tried signing into an alternate account on a PC at home and adding my main(on mobile) account to friends list....it seems every 5 minutes I disappear from friends list(not go offline, but removed from list) then pop back up and signs in 30 seconds later...and repeats this every 5 minutes...so what's the deal? I have an android that I have set to always keep wifi on during sleep

Cool, except there is no option to remain connected in the background, so I was disconnected within a few minutes of turning the screen off. And when I turned the screen back on and opened the ice client I remained offline on the account I was logged into on PC...

Yeah, it might be when you are online on pc and ice client, and then try to log off/log on on you pc, ice starts disconnect. But it now got update, so I think, it's fixed. It works well for me, and it does not disconnect if i dont play/browser on internet as i have cheap phone.

i got same problem in other application called "ingress", and find some soft called "ingress never sleeps" wich turns game working even when screen is locked, so i think there is a way to do the same for steam. and issue is easy if someone will do that
