Steam App for Android new update
So with the new update my girlfriend has been having a problem with receiving my messages, sometimes she just doesn't receive them any ideas on what is the problem?

Have the same problem. Sometimes a few aren't given to me, and don't show up until i'm on the computer, and happen to talk to the person again. *shrug*

I'm having that same issue. I also notice the icon for Steam no longer is appearing in the notification bar and am wondering if Steam is actually running properly in the background.

This sucks and if the last update for steam on android took so long how much will this new one take? Also isn't there anyway to downgrade to a previous version?

it logged me out.. and now I can't login again because I forgot my stupid authenicator code ..
I can't even log in to my PC!!!

I failed to receive a message on my phone (which was on and had a connection the whole time), and had to view it on the computer since it was evidently regarded as an offline message. I'd even messaged the person in the app again before I looked at the client notification, and the app still didn't receive it.

The update axed a lot of chat customization settings in general, but I notice the "Background Connectivity" option had the "Stay connected to Steam in background" option removed, and now only has the options to enable or disable push notifications. Given this and Valve's assertion that the app won't suck battery in the background, I don't think the app runs in the background anymore. It shouldn't need to now, in theory (I guess?), but if the push notifications are going to fail like they apparently are, I think I might prefer that, as an option. (Plus, how does the online state even work now? I need to test this.)

In case someone is wondering if this affects more peole I've also made a post on steam subreddit and it's happening to a lot of people apparently which sucks, I hope there is a fix soon.
