Steam Chat App Notifications.

Me and everyone I know have had a problem with the Steam chat app for a few months now. We no longer notifications when we receive a text on Steam. The app was working fine a few months ago, I am not sure when this behavior started. Ive got at least six people saying the same thing.

Does anyone else experience a lack of notifications in the chat app? If so when do you think it was the last time the chat notifications were working for you?

Same. Nothing advised online has worked to fix it. It’s been as you mentioned, at least a few months now.

no one has a fix that I have found. everyone is just waiting for it to be fixed in an update.

Same for me - no notifications.
I don't know when it last worked properly, maybe 3 or 4 months ago.

Yep the notifications don’t work since about 4 months now and Valve don’t cares about it at all. I guess we can assume that it will take them even more months to eventually fix this. Unbelievable

It's not just the notifications which don't work for a while. Also the chatting itself is laggy as hell. Can't even write one sentence until the chat is freezing like hell. 😵‍💫

this is a new bug that happened in the newest update for me. the notification issue is months old, but as of the last update my chat app is fugged completely. any text over 1 sentence lags out the chat, and it either crashes or sends like 8 times. lots of freezing lag and crashing, not responding ect. idk wth happened but its almost unusable for me atm.
