I can no longer sign into my account on the steam mobile app. I was prompted to update, but it told me it required iOS 6.1 - so it updated to a previous build.

I'm not sure what generation my iPod is, but it is up to date at version 5.1.1.

Will I ever be able to use the Steam mobile app again with my device?

Same for me. Complete BS. Why the hell Valve are forcing people to use this junk I don't know. Totally unnecessary, and a single fingered salute to customers everywhere. Just another bloody hoop to jump for, all in the misguided cause of protecting a handful of mindless fkucwits from their own stupidity.

With some of the stuff that has gone on over the past 12 months, I worry that Gaben has embraced the dark side...

Here is the nutshell it has become "mandatory" to use steam mobile to trade but is now "required" to have the most modern device so if you dont habe it you cant do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and steam mobile becomes a stain on your device festering and taking up space since it seems valve decided models older then ios 6 are no longer considered supportable

Well, balls. I hadn't considered that I'll no longer be able to trade. Thanks for confirming my suspicions that it's down to my iPod being too old.

EDIT - I'm probably wrong about the trade thing, as I can recall being able to authorise a trade through email, unless this mobile requirement is a recent change.

So I can't log in as well, but I still receive spam from the app letting me know which items on my wishlist are on sale. Go figure.
