Unless I have dimentia that I'm not aware off; I think I know my own number. FYI I've written it in several ways for your amusement and to my annoyance ([phone], [phone], [phone], 07000123456, 07000 134 567)

I hate how you now get a banner harrasing us to add a phone number when the process doesn't work. Again; it needs sorting. Pronto

I can't enter my phone number either, it either says that it's invalid or that steam is having problems doing it. And the Next button keeps getting grayed out...

Just had my new smartphone yesterday - great! Let's stuff my number into Steam.
But what a coinsedence! Steam has timed it perfectly to coinside problems with entering my new phone number! Me and Steam accounts don't get on well at all.

Alright everybody! Either we're all incompetent or Valve did a patch on this last night. To enter your number, format it as [phone]
I'm betting on the latter considering there was an update to install this morning.
