Hey, how can I check direct messages?

I just got a notification on my phone from Steam saying "Hey, this is probably random for you but theres..." and clicked on it but nothing showed up, it just took me to the chat with my friends. (I checked all the friend chats, so that can't be it.)

I'm trying to find that message since it seems really important for me to read.

Can you help me? It would be very appreciated.
