Gesture navigation bug on Android client

Upon using the back navigation gesture on a game store page (which was reached initially from the store feed), the client will periodically close the app rather than going back to the store feed, which is what I would expect to happen.

This bug has been ongoing throughout several client releases so I'm unsure if current behavior is expected or if it is a true bug. However, I wouldn't expect the back gesture to ever close the app unless it is currently sitting at the "home" page, in my case that is the store feed.
