Hm... well, if you have to sign in from a different computer every time, then yes, you should download WinAuth on each computer and set it up each time... which is surely a bother, because unless you use the same computer every time, you'd have to remove the previous authenticator and set up a new one, each time. The only alternative I can think of is having someone back at home to call and have them tell you the code on screen while you log in at the comshop.
Or maybe... a laptop? Do you have a laptop? If you do, you could download WinAuth there, set it up, and bring it with you at the comshop to use the authenticator to log in to Steam.
These are the only solutions I can think of right now, sorry... but if you're in that position, then maybe you'd be better off buying a cheap Android smartphones? I think there's some that are under 80€.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking but I got some back up codes and tried them and it worked! I only got 30 back up codes. But if I use 1 code in 1 comshop, will I be able to login from there without using another code?
Great so I should be on the same computer?
Yeah, for now I'm using the backup codes and once I used them all, I'll be generating another till I have Dota 2 in my computer. (Y) Thanks for answering all my questions bro. I really appreciate it. :)
If you don't have a smartphone, you can download WinAuth like me. I use WinAuth as my Steam Mobile Authenticator. Search it on Google. Btw, WinAuth is for PC. So CHEERS to those who doesn't have any smartphone!
Those who trade liberty for security end up with neither. Allow me to decide what level of security I feel i need for MY account.
