Mobile Authenticator Scam
Recently my steam account has been locked because of suspicious activity and it told me to confirm a trade on the steam app so I did ( I don't have a screen shot of the tab) the tab later said that my items will be returned in three days I went to go and check my recent trades and a trade was sent to this account http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198275827455 after that I went to go and check my ani-virus software and it detected malware so the malware decided to lock my account and send a trade link and I fell for it and lost over $100 so please if you run into this problem don't accept the trade and disinfect your computer, remember to change your password for your account and please use steam guard.

So basically you had the steam app and you still got scammed?

Given how annoying this app is for people who know what they are doing (or think they do), the least we could expect is that it would be fool-proof...

As long as you know getting scammed is your own fault.

Kaspersky pairs nicely with malwarebytes

I wish I would of saw this thread earlier. About 2 weeks ago i had the same thing happen but i never traded with the account. Literally yesterday it came up again and steam never answered my ticket so I just accepted it. Again i wish i saw this thread sooner a cause i lost over 300 bucks on skins. I'm going to wipe my drive when i get back home, but did you hear anything from support or did you get anything back? Literally any info you can provide with anything that happened after the trade would be helpful. Thank you and i know feel your pain man.

The account that has taken my items never traded them back although it has been banned. You should report the account and provide as much information about the trade history http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/371918937263920222/inventoryhistory/ and details of the scam
