App suddenly not working
I updated my password on desktop like an hour ago simply because it had been a while since I had done so. Now the mobile app is acting weird. It seems like I'm still logged in on mobile but I'm actually not and keep receiving errors when it tries to verify login info. It won't even let me sign back in. I can still access security codes (for now) and logging out is not an option since I get a warning about Steam Guard being active on my device. Anyone else have / had similar issues?

Damn. I don't know what to do from here besides wait. Might be one of those things that resolves on its own.

If you have this issue, just go to "add another account" section and log in with the same account. This should fix the problem.

Thank you for saving me hours of searching online and going through Steam Support for this issue

To reiterate for anyone reading in the future --

Use the "ADD ANOTHER ACCOUNT" feature in your mobile app and sign in with the same login credentials as you would normally. This should reset your authentication within the app thus allowing you to fully remove the steam guard authenticator and reset your passwords accordingly

Did not work here. Still can see any notifications.

I reset the Steam App and it worked again, but soon got back to the "glitch mode"...

I guess It got to do something about the MiUi....

I found on a different page that said to update the Steam Guard App.
So, I wanted to find out if you tried this. I initially downloaded my app from my Samsung App store, and when I checked my app setting, it said nothing about needing updated and didn't even have an option to update or check.

So I went out to the Google App Store and looked up Steam Guard. It prompted a 40 MB update. When it was done, the Steam Guard App looked completely different. different from just uninstall and reinstall. it was after getting this 40 MB update and complete change that the app treated me like a new user and asked me to log in. I logged in and it asked me to Scan a QR code or put in the Guard Code ( I still don't know where I'm supposed to put it, but it now has a one touch copy option)

After all that, it allowed my trade confirmation to go through no sweat.
So, if you haven't use the app store to force an update you may have to do that.

Hi, It looks like it was a 'route' (or something like that) problem with my provider... And besides, the MiUi. Everything is working well now!
