"An error occured adding this account. Please try again later."

My store region is in China, the number I'm using is Chinese too, but everytime after I confirm the email it says "An error occured adding this account. Please try again later." Need help.

I solved this problem. I just went to steam settings -> account -> View account details -> manage steam guard and then I chose the very first option (get steam app code) instead of mail

I had this problem too just now when trying to set up steam mobile authenticator and here's how I personally fixed it but I can't guarantee it works for everyone. When you get the error just wait a couple of minutes until the app automatically redirects you to the page where you can enter the code and after that it should work. I also had an issue before this where the code steam sent me was incorrect every time. Not sure if re-downloading the app did the trick for me because it seemed to have an update. Now both problems are solved for me and my authenticator works.
