Can't pay by PayPal on app

I'm trying to pay for items in my basket via PayPal. Instead of switching to the PayPal app, it's showing an iframe asking me to log in to PayPal.
Entering my email address just prompts me for it again therefore payment is not possible.

OnePlus Nord2 5G, Android 12.

It's 2024 and this is still an issue with latest version of Android 14. Valve won't fix the issue, but they will lock this thread.

Broken for me as well. Tried clearing Steam app cache. Also deleted PayPal cookies in FF, but the way the PayPal login opened in Steam makes me think that's probably not relevant.

Why won't you take my money, Gaben? 😫

I think Gaben is set for life now, a few PayPal payments slipping through the cracks won't bother him.
