How to change phone number using textnow.com?
My phone number has recently been changed due to being inactive on TextNow. I can now no longer receive the SMS to remove it. I even tried contacting the support on TextNow, but they didn't seem to help any. Is there any way to change phone number without SMS or a service provider?

Passewords ALONE aren't as powerful, as you think.
It takes about a week to brute-force a 8 character password in mixed case, but in the case of my passwords it would take x1.5 that because I added symbols and numbers. Besides, Steam sends me an email before allowing me to log into a new computer and notes the IP address of the offender.
I know the importance of having a complex password and changing it regularly.
It takes about a second for malware to steal a password.

You have to download malware or viruses and if you keep your anti-virus up to date that's not a problem. The problem is that with a mobile app your account is less secure because mobile platforms are seen as unable to download malware or viruses. If you so much as give an app permission to send "diagnostic data" your login credentials are in peril. The more doors you leave open to yourself the more open you are to attack.

Thread Necro-ing is only a taboo, not against the rules. Besides, if it's no-longer valid to you you should have unsubscribed to the thread.

That's a theory, but it's wrong.

I'm sorry, who here has the CompTIA Security+ Certification? I know I do.
Antivirus is only as effective as the programmers who develop the updates to deffinition, because for every one of them there is another fat ♥♥♥♥ sitting in his Grandparents basement eating Deetos and drinking Dew coding the next generation of viruses and malware.
But keeping your Antivirus up-to-date keeps you from experiencing the brunt of the viruses developed after the update to exploit weeknesses brought to light by the update itself.

This is not an Argument or a "Who's Shlong is bigger", respect my decision to not use two-step verification.

In some ways that's true, but looking at a lot of people in society common sense is no longer common.
But fortunately those cases are where I would earn more were I employed as a computer tech.

Just wanted to make sure you're aware of the risks.
