Other then that, just find the cheapest piece of ♥♥♥♥ pad or phone and hook it up to your home wifi.
It's dumb that we have to buy a phone just so we could use a feature which makes the company money, Valve is a company therefore it has to listen to its customers. It's not a problem to make the phone authenticator an an option. Making it mandatory is the problem.
Ah op made it sound like he don't have a mobile device at all. So they mean like Blackberries, Old Nokia 3310 or any other phone that can't run the app/software.
Either way steam should get standalone Authenticators for cheap and perhaps with steam bonuses of sorts.
