Steam Mobile Verificator: Assuming everyone has a mobile is incompetent

Steam, you are all incompetent.

I do not own a mobile device and thus now I am penalized for purchasing products and using services on Steam. This really should be a legal matter as your incompetent staff has assumed and decided everyone on the planet is born with a mobile device and a SIM card on the day of their birth. The mobile device is not, as your incompetent staff believe, a human organ.

Please lift this incompetent bottom-of-the-scum restriction and please fire everyone involved in taking this idiotic, debatably illegal decision. Please make sure they are barred from ever working in gaming and/or mobile departments anywhere in the world ever again. These incompetent scum must be black listed from the industry.

You guys don't have a mobile phone? That's almost hard to believe in this day and age. What if you need to call a cab or need to make a emergency call.

Other then that, just find the cheapest piece of ♥♥♥♥ pad or phone and hook it up to your home wifi.

You use a normal phone, they exist.

It's dumb that we have to buy a phone just so we could use a feature which makes the company money, Valve is a company therefore it has to listen to its customers. It's not a problem to make the phone authenticator an an option. Making it mandatory is the problem.

Ah op made it sound like he don't have a mobile device at all. So they mean like Blackberries, Old Nokia 3310 or any other phone that can't run the app/software.

Either way steam should get standalone Authenticators for cheap and perhaps with steam bonuses of sorts.

Assuming that everyone has a Android phone is pretty weak steam. Lot of us has windows phone, or you would not believe but phones that are not smart. What a shocker. Please fix it.

I had to borrow my sons phone, in order to trade some card for badges. I was able to do it in the past no problem. Ridiculous.
