i cant claim some free games on mobile

i sometimes get suggested a game outdoors and go on to add it to library from mobile and it doesn't work can you fix it so that free games can be added to my library and not say stuff like i need to download steam and or the button doesn't even work

It is calling the Steam Client Bootstrapper to initiate the download procedure. That's why free2play games require the Steam Client to add to the library.

that "you need to download steam" button is a defect in the mobiel cleint. Hillariosuthat nobody has fixed it...but that should be your clue.
When I spot a freebie I like from my mobile, while i#m commuting. I just wishlist it, and then when im at my desktop i find it again on my wishlist and install.

It isn't a defect.
But I use Remote Play to do this.

Oh, so how does remote play actually work, does the install steam button trigger events or intents in remote play if you have it installed?

You use remote play to basically use it as a remote desktop.
You exit out of big picture mode and you basically can do what ever you want as if you were looking at your pc but on your phone. You see your desktop and Steam client as if it were on your pc. Use the Steam client to go to the store and do everything remotely.

Not found many games that actually played well, so I ditched it ages ago. Had better luck with my TV as a mirrored screen to be fair.

I stopped using Steam Link for playing games. I use it just as a remote desktop.
