Iphone Backup and Restore to new Phone - Will Authenticator Work?

I am getting a new iphone and want to know if using the backup and restore feature will keep the authenticator running as usual, or do I have to completely turn off authentication and then put it back on the new phone?

This was my experience, yours may differ.... When I got my new iPhone, I backed up my old phone's data to iCloud. Make sure the Steam application/data is part of the backup. Then on the new phone I went through the setup wizard by restoring from iCloud. The Steam app and authenticator continued working without any interruptions. Ideally, keep the old phone until the new one is fully setup. Steam should continue to work on the old phone over Wifi even if the SIM card is deactivated or removed.
