Adding a new account to Mobile Authenticator (Vac banned earlier)
Hello Community,

I would like to ask for some advice. My main got VAC banned for some reason and I would like to know if it's safe to add new account to the mobile authenticator where the account was linked to.

Any info would be appreciated!

How do VAC bans relate to phone numbers?

VAC bans are applied to all accounts sharing a phone number at the time of the infraction. For this (and many other) reasons we do not recommend sharing your phone number or using another user's phone number on your Steam account. Accounts sharing the phone number that do not own the game the VAC ban is for will still receive a VAC ban and will not be able to purchase the game moving forward.

There are no restrictions placed on phone numbers that were on an account when the account was VAC banned; phone numbers can immediately be used on new accounts.

If you are got VAC ban it most of the times mean that you were cheating, it will detect cheat software that you use in games like CSGO, TF2, L4D2 (games from valve), when you got ban you cant play on servers with Vac secure (most of the normal servers, but you can play on community servers without Vac Secure), only without it... Vac Ban cant be removed and it will be on your account forever, only if you do new one.

Thanks for the reply tho. But my main question was, will i get VAC banned on a new account that has been recently added to the same phone number
