Share links from store

Nowadays, you can't search a game in the store and share it through Whatsapp o similar with yours friends.

The Steam app should give the possibility of share a product steam link.

From the link above, simply change the AppID.

The AppID is the number - 323190.

Change it to the game that you wish to share.

How you get the link? In my app I don't see any link to copy.

You can use SteamDB to find the AppID through the search.

Here's an example with Dota 2.

This is the most recent topic i could find searching. I understand the above, but the solution is to just google the game outside of the steam app and send them that link??!
Why is there no share button from the store pages within the app? Am i missing something?

Yes you can copy a link on mobile

Go to a random game in the store. Just above the gametitle you'll see something like All games > Genre Action > Game name. Just click and hold on the name of the game and you'll be able to copy the link.

But let's be real here, that is absolutely unintuitive and nothing hints that would be the case. Only someone pretty familiar with internet and mobile would think to to do this, and I still didn't until you mentioned and I thought "duh."

This needs to be fixed, there's no logical reason why the mobile share button would be so crappy after all these years.

I'm an OG adopter of Steam Mobile and that button has been that bad since it was added. Years ago.

Valve please fix the share functionality on mobile to at least meet modern standards. It's inconvenient and a pain.

This has been fixed in the latest versions of Steam on Android, not sure about iOS. You can use the share button to copy the URL to the store page.
