Chat not updating

This is a little bug which is slightly annoying but not really essential to be fixed but I still think it's needs to be brought up.
When chatting with friends the chat doesn't update when ever your friends sends a message.

For example; when speaking with a friend, and he successfully sends a message, the app doesn't update and sometimes you have to go out of the chat, refresh, then continue chatting.

Why is this? It's a bit annoying. If it could be fixed that's great but like I said before it's not really essential.

This problem is annoying af. Whenever i chat, whenever i receive a msg from a friend, the app beep the msg don't show up, i had to get out of the chat and refresh then come back again..

I just back out of chat then click on the chat again and there it is. Steam for mobile is just buggy as hell

Once the app has been left open / closed for some amount of time - that issue has been noted.

but sometimes when a message comes in you dont notice it, then you get a message from another app your friend uses asking why your not ansering their stream messsage...causes a little conflict and annoying and embaressing
so why cant this issue be resolved, ie fixed
just commenting....
