How often do games go back on sale/daily deal?
Hi, so I've decided that I want to purchase The Secret World, but it's not included on any sales/daily deals right now. I see that it was recently marked down (drats!).

To those of you who are frequent Steamers:
How likely/often will TSW come back on sale or be up for the daily deal?
Should I wait a little longer, or just bite the bullet and buy it.
I also see that the price is the same on Steam versus Funcom...any benefits to one over the other? Both are digital.

all i know is alittle about steam. i've gotten many games for great prices when they have weekend deals. it will tell you when the deal expires btw. for example i got Fallout NV and all dlc for 5 dollars. it's just you never really know what they will have on sale and when. i've bought games and two weeks later their 90 percent off :(

Sales are impossible to predict, but I'd be willing to bet that it would see at least 50% off during the next Winter Sale. Between now and then it could go on a daily sale, or any other sale.

Whether to buy now or later is up to you. Is waiting 2-3 months worth saving $15-20?

If you're waiting for a specific game to go on sale anywhere (there are other shops that sell Steam games too) then it won't happen.

Once you give up waiting and buy at full price, there will be a massive sales discount on the next day.

Secret World was on sale during the summer sales so i doubt it will be on sale this year.

Steam and Funcom has the same game, if you buy it from Funcom you can use the cd-key to activate the game on your steam account and get a T-Shirt that says "STEAM" which you can use ingame.

That doesn't mean a thing. "The Secret World", according to the price history, was on -50% sale on Steam just 10 days ago...

According to Steam, June 19th was the last time it was on sale for -50% off.

What if I buy it on Steam, do I not get the Steam T-Shirt?

I know my trial account says it needs a key, so I assume whichever I choose the key has to go there, right? Sorry, confused.

Of course you get the shirt if you buy it from Steam.
