Most modern OS installations make dual booting a non-issue nowadays.

Really? I didn't know that, I asked because I would assume most people would not know how to dual boot so I planned on making guide on dual booting the Steam OS with Windows.

A guide is always handy.
But woul be better to wait to see before how the OS comes bundled.

Anyway, I don't think you'll get a satisfying amount of replies here, so just do it if you want to. :) Like Tito said, a guide is always handy. If there are at least a few people who could need one, it's worth makin' it. At least you'll enjoy writing.^^

I had a setup at one point dual-booting Windows 7 and CrunchBang Linux now they are on separate machines. Anyway, recently found "EasyBCD" can't say I have used it yet but it looks like it has a lot of very uesful tools.

I never shut down, so I prefer an OS that does exactly what I need rather than repeatedly switching between two. If I am forced to, I would rather use a VM.

Agreed, I love Windows, I have absolutely no issues with it in any capacity and it is without a doubt the most well rounded platform there is with the most software and developer support.

My computer runs 24/7, I don't need some gimmicky SteamOS or anything else of that nature when the reality is I can do absolutely everything I could possibly ever need right here under one roof so to speak.

I don't because I have had no need to. But a quick Google search shows that it's not too hard, I'm sure I could fumble my way through it if I wanted to.
