Is it possible that the Halo games will come to Steam?
Since there's been a lot of speculation from a file found on an AMD driver called Halo 3.exe to official Steam groups for the original 3 Halo titles is it possible that in the future we'll see them come to Steam. Personally I'd buy all the Halo games again just to re-experience them so what's your opinion?

That's something that would blow my mind
I also found something interesting, a video claiming to be running a leaked version of Halo 3 on the PC

Trying a little too hard to prove it's a PC version of Halo 3. Even so, if they did what they did to Halo 2 to Halo 3, then Halo 3 will only run on Windows 8; thus, killing any potential interest in the title. Besides the game hasn't even been offically announce, just accidentally 'leaked'.
If they were to release on Steam I'm pretty sure they'd be considerate for Windows XP, Vista, and 7 users. Also a few months ago Halo titles were spotted in the Steam database and with games that have already been released like Duke Nukem 3D but Microsoft denied anything despite the official Steam groups and the Halo 3.exe file on an AMD driver

Also releasing a PC port would bring in more revenue that would definitely surpass production costs also Halo 2 sold incredibly well on the PC. If Halo 3 alone on the 360 sold around the entire world just think about how well it would sell on Steam
I would LOVE having the Halo games on PC with Mod support. There was a time in 2008 when modded maps were going around the Halo 3 community with new objects and NPC's; but, Bungie took them down.

9 days ago the steam ID for Halo 3 was updated.

http://steamdb.info/sub/15738/#section_history

To see this is the Halo 3 entry go to apps tab, click the app ID (216800) and then click History tab. I'm getting real excited for Halo 3 PC, hopefully the port is good and isn't Windows 8 only so that we can get lots of players!
Since it's on Steam I'm pretty sure it won't be restricted to Windows 8. I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that Halo 3 is coming to Steam sooner or later. :)
Personally I'd yell in joy if Halo 3 came to the PC because that was the game I had the best times on Xbox live
Lets be realistics. Halo have its own store, why they would help the competition? Its probably than if they port halo 3 to pc, it will be avaiable in the windows store, for running it as a metro application, exactly what they did with halo spartan assault.
But halo in steam would be something I would love to play.
I doubt they'd be stupid enough to put it on the windows store, they made a mistake with putting Spartan Assault on the Windows store, but since it isn't a major game it doesn't matter.
Windows gaming store etc. is getting a major make over. If they bring another Halo game to the PC it will be through their own store. I played Halo 2 mulitplayer for quite a number of years, it was fantastic! Monstrmoose rules! If the new CEO of Microsoft has other ideas and they get out of gaming, then I think it would be a natural fit to bring it to Steam, but don't hold your breath. BTW.... the new Halo game on Windows 8 is not too bad for a quick play, and it supports PC gaming controller too! (if you are looking for new Halo and don't mind casual games once in a while and can stand Win8. ;)
I've been using Windows 8 but I absolutely detest the Windows store hopefully the next CEO of MS is able to have more ties with Valve beyond the Xbox :D
No more halo for the love of god please stop making those stupid games. worlds worst game ever next to pokemon and hello kitty.
