To all the people uploading anime gifs and meme pictures to random game hubs

It's not funny. It's annoying. Cut it out. And I'm gonna start reporting every one of these images that I see.

If you REALLY wanna display these images on your profile (though I have no idea why you would, this is a GAMING community and service, if you want image sharing go to tumblr or ♥♥♥♥♥ or something like that), just put a text file or non steam game into your library and upload your images to that.

It's not that I care about the rules so much or anything like that, I just really, really, really don't wanna see unfunny meme garbage from ♥♥♥♥♥ or gifs of some generic flavor of the month anime chick every time I click the hub of a game I like. Just because the hub is inactive doesn't mean that no one plays the game and that you have an excuse to treat it like your personal DeviantArt or Tumblr page.

So please, stop.

Why isn't there a way to simply add artwork without adding it to a specific game? That would solve a big portion of the problem right there. Nobody else has to see it unless they share it with others privately.

There is.

1. Put a non steam game in your library.

2. Change the name in properties to "watching anime" or something like that

3. Take a screenshot of this game

4. Navigate to the screenshot folder for this game, and copy the picture you want to upload over the screenshot you took (retaining the name and file type as well)

5. Upload

6. There you have it! Anime you can display on your profile without cluttering up the wrong hubs!

Content that is uploaded to a game hub, despite having NOTHING to do with the game, is not allowed, and should be reported DIRECTLY. No exceptions.

It is just a gaming hub. If you want to upload pictures online that isn't artwork for games on Steam there are plenty of free image hosting websites around to do so.
