Steam Winter Sale - 2013

Yes, Steam Summer Sale 2013 has just ended, so now we're in withdrawal, our wallets are half past dead, and we're longing for a payday and the next Sale. As we anticipate the Winter Sale, I think it's okay to discuss a bit about it, seeing how we feel so empty inside now that the Summer Sale is no more. So what would you want in the Winter Sale that you didn't see in the Summer Sale, or you saw, but with a too big price tag to be worth buying? Also, what do you think Valve strategy should be regarding the next sale? More bundles, fewer Deal-of-the-Day-type of stuff? The trading card system modified? Removed? Enhanced? Thoughts and opinions, below!

The winter sale can take as long as it wants to get here for two reasons, the winter sale is in the middle of WINTER and I'll need this time to catch up on my backlog.

Rising Storm isn't 75 percent off, RO2 is :)

To clarify: Rising Storm is 25% off by default for anyone who owns Red Orchestra 2 (maybe the Deluxe edition, not sure). This stacks with the current 50% of the Midweek Madness, so it's 75% off for some people.

You are right of course, just thought I'd mention this because it seems to be causing some confusion here and there. :-)

I am most excited for the sale because it will be right after gaming season(fall) and lots of new games like cod ghosts and bf4 etc!

As long as Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs is on there I am going to be very pleased with everything! That game will be a few months old at that point so its not that extreme to put it like 40% off! Also more daily deals because it seemed like there was a lot a repeats everytime... thanks!

Yeah. It would be nice if they add in sale some competitions (like coal or tickets from summer sale back in 2011)

Total War: Rome II has just come out so either that or all the Total War games? I saw Shogun 2 on the Summer Sale but missed out. Would like to get it or even Rome II, if my laptop can run it.. Shouldn't be too hard should it if i change the settings?
