PC vs Consoles
I really love pc gaming and I started off console gaming and still do play on my my xbox. But I have had a pc and rigged it up for gaming and realized there is so much more to offer and it is so much more fun. Plus I am just tired of getting royally screwed by microsoft on xbox.

Anyway all of my friends are xbox fanboys and are planning to buy the xbox one over a pc for gaming. For the price you can get a decent gaming pc anyways and I want to play with my friends on all of my pc games. I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas for convincing them to play pc with me. I get bored playing by myself and I really don't want to buy an xbox one.

The problem is that there are games wich works best on console while others work better on PC. FPS games for instance are superior on PC while Jump & Run or racing games are better on console. If your friends gaming habits focus around certain types of games then you would have hard time converting them. I for myself have a friend who is constantly arguing with me how much it costs to upgrade your PC to keep up with the latest games while I comment that the XBox360 my be cheap by now but you pay double the price for a console games plus you get older games for PC at almost no cost. And if you compare graphics and speed then console is a dinosaur. The new XBox will indeed cost as much as a new PC with all those features you need to play the NextGen console. Just argue how much a HDD for a PC costs and how much it will cost to get the same size of HDD for your old XBox360 or even the new one. The price difference is hilarious.

How is that, exactly? If you prefer controllers for those games, you're free to plug one into your PC.
It depends on what you want. If you want your games to look good you must have a (good) PC. If you want games to play the best as they can you want all platforms and buy the games according to what platform they were designed for. If a PC is too expensive, buy the first next Xbox/Play Station and you are set for another few good years (because PCs need upgrading quite often). So they all are good, but one prefers one over the other.

PCs do not need upgrading that often. Mine is over 4 years old and hasn't been upgraded once.
pc is so much better. without all the DRMs
How do you convince them? You destroy their computers so they'll end up having to spend $1000 either way. That's the problem; nearly everyone who isn't already a PC gamer doesn't have a computer that can run games, and doesn't have any other reason to replace their computer with one that can when a new console costs about half as much at most.
The thing is, lots of ignorant people think every single gaming pc costs like $1000 or 2000, which is a complete BS.
By purchasing needed components and building it him/herself, it actually doens't cost that much of money.

The most common argument that console fanboys come up with is "Gaming pc costs $1000~2000, but we can play games with $400 console lol."

I personally have pc and ps3, and I'll choose pc over ps3 any days unless the game is ps3 exclusive or sports game.
$2000, sure, that's a load, but $1000? That's hardly unreasonable for a computer that will still be able to play games in full HD five years down the line. I spent that much on mine five years ago and I wouldn't be able to run modern games with console-level graphics settings now if I hadn't upgraded the graphics card. Even if you buy it at the beginning of a console cycle, developers will figure out how to make more efficient use of the consoles' hardware using tricks that won't work on a PC where every configuration is different.
