How do I see the list of my favorited items on steam community?

Go to your profile, click the community item (videos, workshop etc.) you want, then at the top of the page where it says "filter by", tick the favorites box.

I get it now. But seems to be a problem when I click on the Favorite. It takes me to a page where the item is the only content...and its not added to my fav.

Nope. As usual. Simple features on Steam don't work.

I go to my profile, select Guides, filter to favorites. Nothing there, despite having just favorited a guide.

How I get to my favorites is I go to my own Profile Page. Click on "Guides" on the right-hand side list below my Badges and above my Friends list. There will be a "Favorited" tab on the right side to click on. (Took me a while to figure it out.)

It's not so much that anything's broken. The problem that I see transcends the site - simple things are buried in a haphazard and disorganized pile of features, and many of the descriptions are just plain wrong or too similar to other features. Of course, to reorganize Steam like an adult would organize it would break all of the careful descriptions the community has put together. :-( I hate trying to find a resource on this site!

I found a way of doing it. Having selected "Favorite" from the drop down menu in the modal to get the content on a single page, as described earlier in the thread. Copy the page url into a browser, then remove "&insideModal=1#" from the end and load up the page. You'll then get a Favorite button that actually works.

Or just click the new window icon to the right of the URL at the top of the modal window
