I got my first compy in my early 20's. It was a 286. That should tell you about how old I am now if you know your computers. I think it's funny when I run into young millennials and they freak out at my age, and then tell me I'm too old to be gaming. I always fire back with, "when are you going to quit gaming?" That shuts them right up. It's like they think the world began when they were born, or something. Buncha' noobs! :D

lol, I don't get that from the young, I get it from people my age...they will overhear me talking to someone, and figure it out on their own...then go, "your a gamer?". I say yes, and I get the look from them....
Which always seems to me at least, that I'm too old too be doing it...lol
I owned an original Atari so that gives you an idea about my age
I worked on the 8088 and 8086 - before DOS - figure that one out - :)
My fIrst game console was the Magnavox Oddysey. It couldn't even play Pong correctly and required plastic overlays you put on your TV screen for graphics besides its blips on the screen. My first computer was a Commodore VIC-20 with 4k ram... You usually had to type out a BASIC program to play a game and save it to a cassette tape. The code came in magazines. Ahhh, those were the days...

And, yes, I'm so old I'm on Social Security and Medicare! And I still game every day...

My first console was a bit more modern though. 4 years to be exact...
It was a clone of the Emerson Arcadia 2001. (Specifically a Tele Fever built by Tchibo) Shame it got lost. Gave my first computer steps on a Dragon 32. And I still Keep my old CPC464 stored somehwere...
Over 30 and still kickin! My first console was an Atari 2600. I think it was all over for me when me and my best friend dressed up as Reptile and Scorpion from MKII for Halloween at 15. :V
I may not be here quite yet, but I will be in a few years. I know it - save a seat for me :)

Can you remember Harold Wilson?
im 30 now.

games have no age groups anymore.playing games is for everyone regardless of age.

i started with an amstrad and a commodore 64 before moving on to a gamegear and megadrive 1, i would hate for my first gaming setup to be the xplops.

i remember we had radio shows in the netherlands that would broadcast a program or game , and all you had to do was record it and put it in the C64 tape drive.... good old times...
