This is where I started with computers. I did have a console system before that, an Intellivision iirc.

Never had a Vic, but I still have my old C-64 color portable ... er ... luggable. Should see if I can still crank it up.

I hear you on that! I have to stick to the stuff without too many time pressures just so I don't have to double up on my hypertension meds. Heh.

28 and easy going boy. :)
Am I that old? Or that young?

This is young! But old enough for http://www.GeezersInArms.com though as their bottom age requirement to be part of the community and teamspeak is 25 years of age.

69 this year -- arrgghhhhh. Seems like yesterday, typing "move 2 places west" ""Chiggers""
Play a heap of games - mainly RPG (Skyrim) and single player (FPS). The only MMO was EVE till I was hijacked. Enjoy Arma series - all except flying, digits don't move as expected.

Ooh! Someone who has me beat, age-wise. I defer to your wisdom and years. LOL.

40 years young here :)
Indeed, you are! Best years still ahead. And maybe even the best games, too!

Fun fact.. I don't remember where I heard this recently, but somewhere reliable(an article on IGN maybe?)... anyway, apparently around 35 is the average age range for gamers nowadays. It's pretty even all around but slightly higher there. This really surprised me. Also, I think it said the ratio of female to male gamers was almost 50/50. Also surprised me. I thought it was only us geeky guys that played games, and I assumed the majority would be teenagers.
weird, i guess girl and older guys just don't make a big deal about gaming, just teenage boys get overly exited over it

Well, *I* get excited about it. Overly, sometimes. Wish I had more time right now for gaming.

I'm glad to introduce here, 66 years old still active in PC gaming since my retirement.

Commodore 64 was great in that time then Atari as my collection.
My first PC Game is Indiana Jones in Diskette and while Computer belongs to my household
and part of life.

I spend my time online gaming to test my reaction, exercise my brain to make it fit and for me
is best theraphy when I'm alone.

So what is your favorite "therapy" on Steam?

32 here.. If that counts as old? Gaming since around '87 or '88. Those fond memories of watching my dad beat Alex Kidd in Miracle World on the master system. Sometimes I still catch myself humming the music from the underwater levels. Yeah, definitely old.

Nope, nope--you are just getting started! Love it when a game tune gets caught in my head. In fact, I love collecting game soundtracks, although I haven't for a while. Just hearing a piece can transport me to the mood and ambience of a game I lost myself in.

I am only 26, but I do consider myself an old gamer. I seriously think I was born in the wrong generation, most of the music I listen to pre-dates the 90's and find that I am already cursing at all those "darn kids." I didn't get the joy of playing on a Commodore 64, my first console was the NES, but I had grandparents that owned an Atari 2600 and I spent many hours on that thing. I have owned most consoles since the NES and seen so many growing and dying trends.

It is still unsettling to think that there are millions of gamers out there that the 360 was their first console. Probably never having seen a NES console in person. But I digress :P

Digressions are wonderful. So is this thread. I hardly expected a reply, and look how many people took the time to consider their age with respect to their gaming histories? Marvelous!
