Whats the best looking PC game i can get?

Im finally getting a PC that can run any game at max settings after playing almost exclusively on xbox for the last few years. Whats a game that will really show the difference between graphics on a pc and xbox?

Witcher 2 is probably the most impressive looking game on max settings, and if you really want to put your PC through the gauntlet, it has some sort of Full Screen AA setting or something that will really punish your system.

Also, Metro 2033, while not as demanding as Witcher 2, still looks incredible, and at everything maxed, it's no slouch when it comes to seeing how far your system will go.

Skyrim is pretty, but it's more because of the setting and backgrounds i think, not because of graphical horsepower. Borderlands has neat physx effects, but a lot of graphical pop in. Metro 2033 looks pretty good, but it's an old game. I haven't actually played witcher 2 yet, because I bought it on sale and still haven't beaten the first one.

Skyrim for sure. High Res Pack , ENB and Shader Mods, Water Mods ... then in FullHD , you need a very powerful machine to play fluently ... but it is one of the best looking pc games then:D

Skyrim as others have said with a couple mods is outright AMAZING.
Witcher 2 is also spectacular if you can max it.
Crysis 2 with the DX11 patch and Extreme settings is a sight to behold.

but if your coming from the consoles, as others said, pretty much anything will look better.
the fact that PC's can handle full AA and higher resolutions (consoles usualy have things upscaled, and little or no AA) alone makes games better. We can also force such settings in games that don't support them
even older titles can look spectacular on the PC, such as say Wolfenstein (the Raven Software one)

you can even make a game as old as Quake 1 look amazing with a few quick mods (i recommend dark places personally)

Don't forget to fix the terrible FoV problems if/when you can in your PC titles.
the puny 60-65 FoV from the consoles is a truly horrid thing, especially if your on a monitor instead of a TV. It can (not guaranteed will) cause headaches and nausea.
but it def opens a good view upon the game worlds.

You can see some screens of GRFS, Skyrim, Dear Esther, Quake (with darkplaces mod) and Metro 2033 in my profile too if ya wanna get a look at those.
maxed settings at 1920x1080 resolution, or 1080p to the console crowd.
the older Skyrim shots are mod free too, default Official high res texture pack...

i won't lie, i don't see that as overly impressive.
for an MMO maybe, but overall there are tons beyond better looking.
the character models alone are just so terribly low in details...

I second Battlefield 3. I would also recommend that you get at least a 5.1 surround sound setup (7.1 would be better), put the settings on War Tapes for SP and Home Cinema for MP so as to give yourself an eargasim to go along with your eyegasim.

Metro 2033 is also another game I would suggest. It is quite a stunning looking game on max settings, especally for a 2 (coming up on 3) year old game. :)

tbh i got both PC and 360 versions of BF3 and was suprised how good the 360 version looks with the enhanced install.
its like the PC in mid/high mix...
no AA though...

but yeah, almost forgot about BF3, def worth a look there too :)

its only major flaw IMO is the lack of squad/team voice com for those of us with few gaming friends. getting old sucks..
hence i got the 360 one so i could COMMUNICATE with my squadmates much of the time.
Some servers do still enforce this, much against what DICE may say. they were just being lazy and didn't want to program it in since it'd have to be an entirely new system vs the consoles built in design for games.
