Rare Emoticons That Are Now Retired.

Hello everyone.

I would like to thank everyone that takes the time to read this and engage in the discussion.

Now then to my point.

There are many wonderful emoticons that are and were on Steam Market that simply no longer exist. They have either been removed because of controversy or breaking terms but either way the people that did get them still may use them at will. Some are trade capable and some are not. Mostly just depends on what sort of removal they received. It is also unusual but they could also technically be removed by the developer or the license holder that doesn't want them on Steam. So at least as far as the still trade able ones go..

How can I find people that have these and is there an after market where they reside and I might acquire them? I would like to collect a few odd ball ones and I would happily give their value however I also do not work outside of Steam so I won't likely be doing that. Is there something I am missing or a market out there to scratch my niche need?

Your insight would be invaluable thank you.

I can not vouch for the safety of this tools Steam connection so I would not recommend connecting without doing your research. However it has listings with price filtering

Filtering between price saving the results and date saving the results and comparing the two should give you some idea of rarity.

In addition you could look up a list of games removed from steam and see if they had emoticons before being removed.

I have quite a few.

99% of the time, the reason why items are no longer purchasable, is because the game itself was removed from Steam. Why? Because you can't really continue to profit on your game if it's not on the store.
