gaming just feels so garbage now
everything with a 2 or more, reused assets, boring writting, cashcow/cashgrabs.no true replayabilty, bad gameplay, boring missions.

everything is copied and reused or stolen. like gaming does not feel like gaming anymore, just movie studios just trying to go big. no passion or love or interest or care. clock in and clock out content.

i have played so little games i really enjoyed and can feel and see the effort. so many games i don't even care about or love and still can respect the devs for what they made even if its not for me to finish it.

like i legit just want more games that are original, yes there is some good indie games out there i loved but so many of them are the same way. low effort and bad. so many indie devs trying to get rich and not putting time into the game.

I think it's def the case with Triple A, but i just can't understand how PC gamers, with all of the games they have here can be bored or dissatisfied.. Console where i play mostly, yes. But here, there must be thousands of games.

You just have to find your interests,

There's thousands of games released every year, and if there's no niche for you, if all you can focus on is how the block buster games don't appeal to you, then it's kind of a made up problem. It's laziness. It just means you don't really care, and complaining is easier.

I mean you compare it to the movie industry. Yeah man, there's thousands of movies made too, and if the big mainstream spectacles don't appeal to you there's plenty of other content out there. Sitting on your hands and pretending there's nothing out there because you won't look is a made up problem.

And on top of that, if nothing in recent years really interests you, if you pine for days bygone. Well t's not like old games have vanished from existence and you probably haven't played every great game out there. And if that doesn't interest you, kinda seems like you've outgrown the hobby, no?

Disco Elysium, Nier replicant/automata, Devil May Cry 5, Death Stranding, One Way Heroics, Gunvolt series, Hollow Knight, Blasphemous, Souldiers, Momodora 4+5.

There is a channel on youtube that shows clips of all games on each console from a-z, can find a lot of interesting games that way, there are a ton.

You've been in this slump for months, complaining about not liking anything.

Any chance you'll find a different hobby until you like playing games again?

Find a person who makes gaming videos that match your interests and check out the games they play in their videos.

The smaller games or indie games are where the fun lies now. My latest two purchases after being disappointed with the trainwreck that is Dragon's Dogma 2:

Only if you are a false flagging troll.

If a female or non-white protagonist was enough to make a game woke Tomb Raider, Nier Automata, Miles Morales, Gears of War, etc. would have never become as popular as they did.

A female lead doesn't make a game woke. An anthropomorphized walking soapbox masquerading as a protagonist does, and I don't detect any of that from this game.

Woke Propaganda:
Forspoken

Not Woke Propaganda:
En Guarde!

Learn the difference.

Tons of legit good games out there.

Baldurs Gate 3 is incredible for example. There are lots of other slightly older titles worth checking out like Kingdom Come: Deliverance. If you're a big online shooter fan like I am, then it's worth checking out Helldivers 2. Despite the hype and the fact that the game sounds like a mishmash of things that have been done far better already, the game is incredible and I can't get enough of it in spite of myself! Nothing wrong with a little managed democracy afterall.

Yeah, I have no issue finding good and fun games. Whether they're older, newer or yet to be released, plenty of good stuff.

But as Hotsauce says, OP has been making threads like these in OT and here for a few months now.

Because they're riding the coattails of nostalgia and are suffering burnout. They're chasing the feeling they had when they were gaming as a kid, no doubt.

False, even younger gamers are playing games from before they were born.
