Steam Key Cards and International Credit cards are not available in Tunisia.
I want to play many games from steam, buy them to support steam, yet I can't manage to do it, because my country doesn't support these things. You can get them, it is legal, but not from Tunisia (This is illegal). That's the problem. I wish if steam can find a solution for this problem so Tunisians can easily buy games without travelingto other countries to make an International credit card (Visa-Mastercard). It is actually tiring and not everyone can do this. So please steam support, I wish if you can find a solution for this.

The eternal struggle when you REALLY want to be a legal customer and want to buy games the legal way but the F'd up system of Steam and Governments simply make it impossible. Either with Payment methods not being allowed or games simply being geo-blocked from your region. And then these corporations have the audacity to cry me a river about "bohoooo piracy is ruining us :Sadclot:"

I wonder... does Paysafe Card method work for you in Tunisia? Are they available there? Steam does allow adding funds to steam via Paysafe cards, like GOG does. It's basically a voucher coude you buy & pay for in a store (supermarkets, drugstores or newspaper stores mostly) and you get a code on a printout that you enter, when chosing "Add funds" on steam and click paysafecard method. It's kinda like the steam money cards but without a scratch-off code on the card itself. But you can add different amounts. 10 bucks, 20, 50 and so on. This is what i usually use since i don't have a credit card either.

Or PayPal; that would be the first method for me to check, since it isolated from the local payment methods.

As an example, PayPal can pull money from bank accounts in Germany. They probably can't do that in the US -- but, regardless of that, I can still pay US merchants with PayPal. PayPal is working as an abstraction layer -- in this particular case, the US merchant won't even know how PayPal gets the money from me, and I don't know how the merchant gets the money from PayPal.

It is actually allowed to use them, police won't bother asking you how did you get it, yet it is still illegal to use, they will only suspect you using it if you get a high amount of money. Also, you can only get them when you travel to other countries that facilates these things, like morroco, european countries etc... . Well the econmic law in Tunisia is bad, that it deprives the civilian from buying things outside the country. It may sometimes cause him to pay 10 times it's original cost.
Thank you for your post

Paypal, Sadly, is forbidden and illegal to use in Tunisia. However, many attorneys and lawyers agree, that using it is still legal in cases, but getting it from inside Tunisia is a whole crime, let's say it is like someone transfered millions of money from charitative societies in order to build a Bar and a Disco and a Casino in another country.

Also, these paysafe cards aren't provided in every state in my country, so I have to make a long trip, pay 3 times a AAA game to buy a Paysafe that gives me a key to a game. And sometimes, you get scammers who scam you.
If payment methods are forbidden due to government choices, there isn't much Valve can do about that.
Move to where it is legal..

that's the sad fact that I must accept, indeed that's how I must accept it.
Hey there. I'm Tunisian and live there as well. You can get a limited international credit card from Zitouna Bank or Poste. They call it the "Carte technologique." All you need to do is go to the bank, bring a copy of your National ID card and a diploma (either Bac or license; both are accepted). Then you pay 50 TND for the price of the card. Once you get it, you can fund it up to 1,000 TND, which is roughly 321.67 USD.

There's a catch though: you can only get that amount once per year. This means if you spend all of that money buying things online in 2024, you'll need to wait until the next year (2025) to reset your limit and recharge it again. It's still better than nothing, honestly. I buy all my games using this card. You'll be able to purchase many games because they always have discounts all year round on Steam.

You can also link this card to PayPal (even though it's pointless since you can purchase games directly using your card), and it's completely legal since the bank allows you to get that limited amount of foreign currency.
