What I don't understand...
...is why when I make funny or noobish comments, I get suspended, but, when others make funny or noobish comments, they get showered in awards (usually jesters). Why is it that I get banned while literally EVERYONE ELSE gets rewarded? What have I done to you people to make you hate me so much?

If you're referring to writing meme guides and reviews, I tried that too, no luck. :steamsad:

Then, what, may I ask? These are the only methods I've heard of.

Have you tried being, I don't know, helpful?

I'm not saying that is what I am actually referring to though.

All the time, just that I'm much more helpful with real-world issues than with video-games, since I love exploring every square centimeter of every world I'm immersed in and trying all the different options and paths, thus it takes me years just to finish one line of quests, so I'm often unable to tell people where something is or how to beat a certain quest or boss, as the vast majority of the time I haven't been there or done that yet.

Bottom line, you don't know me outside of a few recent posts here, I've been helpful but never got any thanks or appreciation for it. And humans think they're so evolved and enlightened, yet they're the only species on this planet with weapons of mass destruction.
:sprat: Yeah. There’s the fun-at-parties attitude people adore.

As an update, I've been offering some advice in a few obscure video-game forums here, on steam, if you feel like spying on me again (wish valve wouldn't give everyone such easy access to others' posts).
Ween off the whataboutism and start focusing on your own behavior, it might help.

Whataboutism is a bad argument someone makes when they get in trouble/caught/whatever. Instead of focusing on what they've done and how to better the circumstances, they point and go "WHAT ABOUT THEM!"

Whataboutism.

It's a tool a lot of politicians and other shady people use nonstop to muddy the waters and de-focus issues about their conduct.

That's in a nutshell. Use Google or Duckduckgo to learn more.

I've read the first page of this thread and I know exactly the reason you are looking for:

In this day and age, it doesn't matter whatever you do. What matter is appearances. And on a private site on the internet like this one, you're going to get the short end of the stick everytime if you get reported by someone.

It doesn't matter if you're right. It doesn't matter if others do the same thing as you. What matter is that Valve need to look like they are doing something when someone get called out.

Sad times to be around, really.
