what y'all are missing here is that whether or not they upgrade won't matter. Nothing is coming out now that'll run on windows 7. everything is being built with a minimum requirement of win10. I still have a DOS machine but i don't whine that the world forced me to get a newer machine. DOS had some awesome games but the world won't hold back because you're upset.

Windows 10 will lose all support at the end of 2024 so we'll be "forced" to upgrade to windows 11. The only issue I have with win11 is the hardware i need to buy just to run it. Money is hard to come by for me right now but on the plus side i have a year and a half to save up for it lol.

Whether y'all update or not is your choice but the world will not wait for you.

Steam is so dead once all the kids from third world countries who don't spend any money on games because they can't afford anything but F2P games decide to leave! Valve is definitely gonna support a 10 year old operating system if they don't wanna lose all those valuable customers that spend like $5 a year on Steam!

I imagine the user sitting in his basement in 10 years, with his 3 Steam games that work offline and his two websites he can still visit and mumbling " at least i am still on Windows 7".
