If someone wants to access your account from a different account he needs the Steam Guard access code first so you could check your email history. Other than that there is no option to check that.

But note that anyone can delete the email and in most cases there is also the possibility to delete the history but that's up to your email provider.

If you feel someone else has accessed yoru account do the following

1) Change your Steam password
2) Deauthorize all other Steam computers ( go to steam-settings-account-manage steamguard security)
3) Change your gmail password
4) Enable two factor authenication on yoru gmail

Missing the option to see my login IPs. It's the easiest way to check if someone used your acc.

I don't live alone. Here're 4 other people using the same connection. Why should that be a problem?
I'm using that sysstem on other sites and onlinegames and works fine. I can see when i logged in at home and when at university. If there's a suspicious IP from somewhere else in the world i could see it.

Why should i let anyone use my account? No one knowes my PW. Of course there's a chance this could happen, but it's very unlikely.
And they wouldn't have an IP from China or somewhere ;)

Exactly - which is why you wouldn't be able to know, which was my entire point in why checking IP addresses would be of no good in such situations.

Yeah ok, I see ;)
But there's no way to prevent such things, that's just sth everyone has to take care for. Like giving your Credit Card to someone etc.
But if it seems that your Account was hijacked, checking Login IPs would help a lot. There would be chance to see it before all the cool items are gone.

I just had a login attempt(?) but I have dual verification on my phone. Is there a way someone could be on my account without me knowing it and without access to my phone to verify the account?

Are you sure the login attempt message is real and not a phishing message? The only way for someone else to be on your account is if you've been giving your account credentials and the Steam Guard code to other people or been to shady 3rd party skin trading sites that more often than not are scams and are there just to steal your login info.

You can also check: https://help.steampowered.com/en/accountdata/SteamLoginHistory to see the login history. You can also view the name of the computers that Steam knows of in the accountdata section.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
