I don't live alone. Here're 4 other people using the same connection. Why should that be a problem?
I'm using that sysstem on other sites and onlinegames and works fine. I can see when i logged in at home and when at university. If there's a suspicious IP from somewhere else in the world i could see it.
And they wouldn't have an IP from China or somewhere ;)
Yeah ok, I see ;)
But there's no way to prevent such things, that's just sth everyone has to take care for. Like giving your Credit Card to someone etc.
But if it seems that your Account was hijacked, checking Login IPs would help a lot. There would be chance to see it before all the cool items are gone.
Are you sure the login attempt message is real and not a phishing message? The only way for someone else to be on your account is if you've been giving your account credentials and the Steam Guard code to other people or been to shady 3rd party skin trading sites that more often than not are scams and are there just to steal your login info.
You can also check: https://help.steampowered.com/en/accountdata/SteamLoginHistory to see the login history. You can also view the name of the computers that Steam knows of in the accountdata section.
I know this is late but thank you so much for this, this was what I was looking for. Thanks.
