What does leveling up in steam do?

I am lvl 38 in steam and I know that it looks cool but als a low lvl guy gets 1 trading card after 3 times voting in a steam sale.(a friend of mine is lvl 3 and he needs to vote on 3 next sales to get 1 trading card and I (lvl 38) need to vote 1 time) but are there other benefits?
I will keep leveling up no matter because it looks cool bet still.

Your Steam Level increases your rate of receiving a booster pack drop:
Level 10: +20% increase in your drop rate
Level 20: +40% increase in your drop rate
Level 30: +60% increase in your drop rate
Level 40: +80% increase in your drop rate
Level 50: +100% increase in your drop rate (i.e. the rate has doubled)
Etc.

Plus show cases and friend slots.

Pretty much useless at higher level though. :rennyf1: It's for the look.

If you have a business on the web you can get yourself noticed better when you have a high level.
Most tend to discriminate so most childish ones are going to treat you like a god. It's pretty fun meeting those kind of people.
