Unusual FPS games

Do you know any FPS'es which are unique, somehow different from the usual ones? If so how are they atypical?

E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy

A strange and cryptic story with nice shooting. It's so weird that I can't really describe how it's weird. But you shoot things, and it's pretty cheap right now.

Postal 2 is what you might say somewhat different from the rest...
At the time of release (2003) it was one of the most violent games ever made.

Besides the usual arsenal to send your opponents and/or unsuspecting bystanders to the slaughterhouse with, one could prefer to chop 'em up good with the chainsaw or otherwise bash their brains in with a shovel.

Setting an annoying housewife on fire only to be able to extinguish the flames with your friend-in-the-pants was highly enjoyable for the fast majority of the players.
Many overly concerned parents and politics have tried to get it off the shelves on a global scale, thankfully without conclusive triumphs.

For the next 16 hours Postal 2 is one of the choices of the community in the holiday sale and you can pick it up for only $ 0.99, imo it's twopenny for reliving that excessive violent enjoyment.

I'd say shadow warrior, due to it's reliance on a melee weapon (katana) most of the time.

Lichdom battlemage is another one to look at.

1. The Ship is a fun & unusual multiplayer FPS game: every map is a cruise ship and in the main gameplay mode: hunt mode, your objective is to murder a quarry player in each round without getting murdered by your hunter and like your quarry you don't know who's hunting you. Your score is the amount of cash you've earned by killing players (how much depends on the weapon you use) and if you kill innocent players you will be fined.

Players will also be fined and arrested if your seen holding a weapon by a guard/security camera/too many players. The size of your arrest fine and how much time you spend in a ship's brig is determined by how many weapons you have in your inventory.

Most weapons are melee weapons and the "money for kills" value for each weapon is randomly changed in each game so you will sometimes have to find a way to kill your quarry with a weak melee weapon, like a knitting needle, if you want to earn enough kill cash to be at the top of the scoreboard when a game finishes.

Players also have to eat, sleep, shower and use toilets making them vulnerable to being attacked.

2. Sir You Are Being Hunted: players have to survive being hunted by robots.

3. Guns Of Icarus Online: this is a team work FPS game in which you have to work with your air ship crew mates to destroy airship's being crewed by your opponents. You can be a captain, helmsman, engineer or gunner.

4. C&C Renegade X: A free FPS & RTS C&C universe game made with a modern game engine, unlike in the Battlezone games there's no base building.

5. Battlezone 1 & Battlezone 2: Base building FPS & RTS games. Despite being old games both have been continuously developed and improved in recent years so they both work in modern Windows operating systems, with modern resolutions & graphics improvements and I know Battlezone 2 1.3 has integrated VOIP. Both of these games now don't require a CD.

Stalker is an unusual FPS. There aren't many games quite like it. It has RPG elements and is heavy on exploration, but doesn't use a system as bullet spongy as Borderlands or a system as point heavy as Fallout. Pretty good game.
