Randon Phiser Friend Requests?
Has anyone else been getting random requests from various scammers and phisers? I've had a huge influx of them lately.

Yeah, I got one the other day from BigBoss106606 or something like that. I didn't realize it was a scammer. They sent me 4 messages, one every couple of hours while I was away, that basically just asked if me to click a link to trade them. I promptly removed them from my friends list.

the scammers have bots that scrape trade sites like csgo lounge, and tf2outpost.
some bots even scrape steam community.

never click on a link, the offers are always fake, and bring you to a web page that injects a script to take control of your inventory.

What's strange is that I've always been getting these requests, but never so much until now. I've had at least 5 just today.

Most probably due to playing TF2 and CSGO as those games have a lot of valuable items, this makes targetting those players most valuable for phishers.

Best to ignore any friend requests of those you don't know or have no prior contact with.

Only check:
-Level 0
-Only had 1 game random with 3-10 hours
-Always trying trade TF2/CS:GO/DOTA2 items with a fake link with "friend objects"
-The inventory always is empty or with 0 objects

And the easy:

IGNORE

I got a couple yesterday. It's pretty obvious when they have a 0 level and a private profile.
