Game "icon" not displaying on Discord (just shows a white '?' in placeholder)
So, when I launch a game from the Steam client, the game name and "icon" automatically displays in my activity on Discord ... normally.

However, I bought a new game a few days ago and, when I launch it, the name appears correctly but the "icon" does not appear.

"Icon"? - whatever it is called. The small graphic that appears alongside the game name.

I have had this experience with older games that were released before 2015 (before Discord was launched). So I would expect the behaviour with older titles, but not with a new game, like this one.

What is doubly puzzling is this game ('Season: A Letter to the Future') has a downloadable Demo, and the free Demo displayed the Icon correctly, but the fully purchased download doesn't.

I tried relaunching the game, restarting Steam and even rebooting the computer - but, no difference.

Anyone else getting this, or know a solution?

thx.

Oh okay, thanks for that. "Rich presence" is the techie term I was looking for, was it? Yes, that Reddit post seems to replicate the same problem as I encountered, although there does not appear to be a workable solution to the question. If icons in rich presence are Discord assets, then it would appear it is not a problem with Steam. Oh well, that makes sense at least. :InkPrestige: Thanks.

Indeed, it's a discord problem not steam problem. Take care :)
